Key Responsibilities
- Provide confidential one-on-one welfare support and guidance to individuals.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop personalized action plans.
- Facilitate referrals to internal and external support services, including mental health, legal, and financial assistance.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations with empathy and effective intervention strategies.
- Develop and implement welfare programs and initiatives to promote overall well-being.
- Liaise with community organizations, government agencies, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions and interventions.
- Advocate for individuals' rights and access to appropriate resources.
- Contribute to the development and review of welfare policies and procedures.
- Monitor trends in welfare needs and provide recommendations for proactive support.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a welfare, social care, or counseling role
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficiency in both German and English (C1 level minimum)
- Thorough understanding of relevant social welfare legislation and resources in Germany
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach
- Strong organizational and case management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline
- Experience working within a corporate or large organizational welfare framework
- Certifications in Mental Health First Aid or similar welfare-related training
