Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
- Support the tracking and monitoring of cargo movements, providing updates to senior team members.
- Learn and apply international shipping regulations, incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to shipments and logistics activities.
- Participate in operational meetings and contribute to problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct basic data entry and administrative tasks to support the shipping department.
- Shadow experienced logistics coordinators and managers to gain hands-on knowledge of daily operations.
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all logistics operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
