Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily feeding schedules and ensure adequate water supply for all livestock.
- Monitor animal health, identify signs of illness or distress, and report observations promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of animal enclosures, stalls, and farm facilities.
- Assist with routine animal treatments, vaccinations, and other veterinary care procedures under supervision.
- Participate in farm maintenance tasks, including fence repair, bedding management, and equipment cleaning.
- Accurately record feeding logs, health notes, and other relevant farm data.
- Adhere strictly to all farm safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines.
Required Skills
- Basic animal handling skills and comfort working with livestock.
- Strong observational skills for detecting changes in animal behavior or health.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working on a farm or with livestock.
