Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies in line with German and EU regulations.
- Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on the company, and ensure timely adaptation of internal processes.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, identify potential areas of non-compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee the development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to compliance.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, incidents, and breaches, ensuring appropriate remedial actions are taken.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Advise on new business initiatives and products to ensure regulatory compliance from inception.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Compliance Manager or similar role, preferably within a regulated industry.
- In-depth knowledge of German and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, BaFin regulations, Anti-Money Laundering laws).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and advising at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
