Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided vehicles for the transportation and delivery of goods.
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring its safety and integrity during transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation.
- Interact professionally with clients and customers, providing excellent service at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Manage vehicle fuel, cleanliness, and routine maintenance schedules.
- Handle cash or payment transactions when required, with accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with warehouse duties or inventory management as needed during downtimes.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaica)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for at least 3 years
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (e.g., delivery, logistics)
- Excellent knowledge of St. Elizabeth parish roads and surrounding areas
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Punctual, reliable, and highly organized
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
