Key Responsibilities
- Execute photographic assignments for various events (e.g., weddings, parties, corporate functions, festivals) and commercial projects (e.g., product photography, portraits, real estate, brand campaigns).
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific photographic requirements for each project.
- Manage all aspects of photography from planning and setup to shooting and post-production.
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment, lighting, and accessories to achieve high-quality images.
- Perform advanced photo editing, retouching, and colour correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Ensure all delivered images align with client branding guidelines and aesthetic preferences.
- Maintain a professional demeanour and provide exceptional client service at all times.
- Adhere to project deadlines and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Safeguard and maintain all photography equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and Career.zycto representatives to ensure project success.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Event and/or Commercial Photographer (minimum 3 years)
- Expertise in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Proficiency in lighting techniques, both natural and artificial.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-production.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- High level of creativity, attention to detail, and a keen eye for composition.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing.
- Familiarity with drone photography/videography.
- Previous experience working with a diverse client base in Jamaica.
- Owns a comprehensive kit of professional photography equipment and backup gear.
