Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts using SIEM, EDR, and other security tools.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and address weaknesses.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure architecture.
  • Conduct forensic analysis on security breaches to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide expert guidance on security best practices, emerging threats, and new technologies.
  • Participate in security awareness training initiatives for employees.
  • Manage and maintain security systems, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-malware, and data loss prevention solutions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR and local Mauritian laws.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and data protection techniques.
  • Solid incident response and forensic analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security tasks.
