Job Description
L.M. Construction (Pvt) Ltd is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Carpentry Specialist to join our dynamic team in Bulawayo. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and execute complex blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate dimensions.
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements, using hand and power tools.
- Erect, level, and install various structures and fixtures, including framework, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other wooden installations.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Estimate material and labor costs for carpentry projects.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction professionals, including architects, engineers, and general contractors.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning and safety.
- Perform quality checks on finished work to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior carpenters or apprentices when opportunities arise.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency in various carpentry techniques and tools (both hand and power).
- Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of different types of wood, laminates, and construction materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications
