Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of reagents, solutions, and media according to established protocols.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tasks, including sample preparation, basic experimental procedures, and data collection.
  • Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers.
  • Accurately record and document experimental results, observations, and procedures in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and quality control standards.
  • Perform general laboratory upkeep, including cleaning glassware, sterilizing equipment, and managing inventory of supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior scientists and team members to support ongoing research projects and achieve objectives.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to project planning.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory workspace.
  • Undergo continuous training to develop new skills and stay updated with laboratory techniques and scientific advancements.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level.
  • Foundational understanding of basic laboratory principles and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in performing tasks and recording data.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
