Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on industrial machinery, including hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, conveyors, motors, and production lines, to prevent unexpected breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults using a range of diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques, ensuring rapid and accurate problem identification.
- Perform timely and effective repairs on malfunctioning equipment, implementing both temporary and permanent solutions to restore full operational functionality with minimal disruption.
- Develop and implement predictive maintenance schedules and strategies to identify potential issues before they escalate, utilizing condition monitoring and other advanced techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and equipment performance data, contributing to a comprehensive maintenance history database.
- Collaborate closely with production managers and operators to understand operational needs, schedule maintenance activities, and communicate potential impacts on production.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards during all maintenance and repair operations.
- Assist in the procurement and management of spare parts inventory, recommending essential components and overseeing stock levels to facilitate prompt repairs.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, providing technical expertise and ensuring seamless integration into existing operational frameworks.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives for machinery and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians or production staff on basic maintenance procedures and safe equipment operation.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in industrial electrical systems (PLC, motor control, sensor integration).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex machinery.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc) and fabrication.
