Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Forensic Computer Analyst to join our esteemed client’s team in the vibrant BMW Welt Area of Munich. As a Forensic Computer Analyst, you will play a critical role in unraveling complex digital mysteries, preserving crucial evidence, and providing expert insights into security incidents, fraud, and other digital transgressions. Your daily tasks will involve conducting detailed forensic examinations of various digital devices, ranging from computers and servers to mobile devices and cloud environments. You will be instrumental in identifying, collecting, and analyzing electronic data to support legal proceedings, internal investigations, and incident response efforts. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive forensic analysis of digital media including hard drives, mobile devices, network logs, and cloud data.
  • Utilize specialized forensic software and hardware tools to recover, preserve, and analyze digital evidence.
  • Identify and trace potential data breaches, insider threats, malware infections, and other cyber incidents.
  • Document forensic methodologies, findings, and evidence chains meticulously to maintain legal integrity.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and provide expert testimony or consultation as required.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement, and internal stakeholders during investigations.
  • Develop and refine forensic processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of the latest digital forensics techniques, tools, and evolving cyber threats.
  • Assist in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK Imager, X-Ways Forensics, Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM.
  • Strong understanding of file systems (NTFS, FAT32, HFS+, EXT), operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and networking protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of data recovery techniques and evidence handling procedures.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis.
  • Solid grasp of cyber security principles, incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST), and common attack vectors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English for technical report writing and presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple investigations concurrently with strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., GIAC GCFE, GCFA, GNFA, EnCE, ACE).
  • Experience with cloud forensics (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of German privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, BDSG).
  • Previous experience in a corporate forensics or law enforcement setting.
  • Proficiency in German language (B2 level or higher).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
