Career.zycto is seeking a talented and versatile Photographer to join our dynamic creative team in Davidson’s Mains, Edinburgh. You will work closely with our creative director and clients to understand their vision, translating concepts into compelling visual narratives. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and execute photo shoots for events, portraits, and studio projects, ensuring adherence to client briefs and brand guidelines.
- Operate and maintain professional camera equipment, lighting setups, and relevant photography software.
- Edit, retouch, and enhance images to a high professional standard, using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Manage and organize digital assets, including post-production workflow, archiving, and timely delivery of final images.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, models, and other team members to achieve desired artistic outcomes.
- Conduct pre-shoot consultations to understand client needs and provide expert advice on concepts, locations, and styling.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously enhance photographic skills and offerings.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and ready for use, reporting any issues promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster positive client relationships.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional photography experience across events, portraits, and studio settings.
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for editing and post-production.
- Strong understanding of photographic principles, including composition, lighting, and colour theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and subjects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality work in relevant categories.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Knowledge of current social media trends and content creation for digital platforms.
