Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Remote Help Desk Operator to join a vibrant team, providing essential support to users from the comfort of your home office. In this fully remote role based out of San Jose, California, you will be the first point of contact for technical inquiries, playing a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations and high user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and remote assistance tools.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and relevant information accurately within the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams or senior technicians.
- Assist users with account management, password resets, and software installation/configuration.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system changes, new technologies, and common issues.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles and self-help resources.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with remote desktop software and help desk ticketing systems.
- Strong understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically and effectively.
- High degree of empathy and patience when assisting users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certifications.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or other cloud-based collaboration tools.
- Previous experience in a fully remote support environment.
