Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver to join our growing logistics and delivery team in Coopers Hill, St. Andrew. This pivotal role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to transport goods and packages efficiently and safely across designated routes within St. Andrew and surrounding areas. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are made on time, in excellent condition, and with the highest level of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to customers and business partners.
  • Plan and execute delivery routes, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients.
  • Handle delivery documentation, including invoices, manifests, and proof of delivery forms.
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and organizing packages, when not on delivery routes.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics coordinator regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean and presentable at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years (36 months) of professional driving experience
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
  • Excellent knowledge of St. Andrew and surrounding parishes' road networks
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques
  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Punctuality and strong time management abilities
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • High level of integrity and responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with GPS navigation systems and delivery tracking software
  • Previous experience in logistics, courier, or freight delivery
  • Customer service experience in a delivery context
