Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver to join our growing logistics and delivery team in Coopers Hill, St. Andrew. This pivotal role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to transport goods and packages efficiently and safely across designated routes within St. Andrew and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to customers and business partners.
- Plan and execute delivery routes, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
- Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients.
- Handle delivery documentation, including invoices, manifests, and proof of delivery forms.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and organizing packages, when not on delivery routes.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics coordinator regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean and presentable at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years (36 months) of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Excellent knowledge of St. Andrew and surrounding parishes' road networks
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Punctuality and strong time management abilities
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- High level of integrity and responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and delivery tracking software
- Previous experience in logistics, courier, or freight delivery
- Customer service experience in a delivery context
