Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff (room attendants, linen porters, public area cleaners) to ensure high productivity and adherence to standards.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and compliance with hotel standards.
- Schedule staff shifts and assign duties, adjusting as necessary based on occupancy levels and operational needs.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, placing orders as required.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special needs related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings to communicate policies, procedures, and service goals.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed by the housekeeping team.
- Report maintenance deficiencies, lost and found items, and security concerns to relevant departments.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, staff attendance, and inventory.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping, preferably in a 3-star or higher hotel.
- Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and proper usage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS).
