Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dedicated hotel team through Career.zycto. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff (room attendants, linen porters, public area cleaners) to ensure high productivity and adherence to standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and compliance with hotel standards.
  • Schedule staff shifts and assign duties, adjusting as necessary based on occupancy levels and operational needs.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, placing orders as required.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and special needs related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings to communicate policies, procedures, and service goals.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed by the housekeeping team.
  • Report maintenance deficiencies, lost and found items, and security concerns to relevant departments.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of room status, staff attendance, and inventory.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping, preferably in a 3-star or higher hotel.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and proper usage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS).
  • First Aid and Fire Safety certification.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
