Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and meticulous Logistics Coordinator specializing in Freight & Delivery Scheduling to join our growing team in Bieldside, Aberdeen. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate freight and delivery activities to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to manage expectations and resolve any operational issues.
  • Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Negotiate rates and service agreements with freight carriers to optimize transportation costs.
  • Manage and process all necessary documentation for domestic and international shipments, including customs clearance where applicable.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in logistics processes and systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including delivery schedules, freight costs, and inventory movements.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to delivery delays, damages, or discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to streamline order fulfillment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role within freight and delivery scheduling.
  • In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding procedures, shipping regulations, and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience with carrier management.
