Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate freight and delivery activities to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to manage expectations and resolve any operational issues.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with freight carriers to optimize transportation costs.
- Manage and process all necessary documentation for domestic and international shipments, including customs clearance where applicable.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in logistics processes and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including delivery schedules, freight costs, and inventory movements.
- Respond promptly and effectively to delivery delays, damages, or discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to streamline order fulfillment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role within freight and delivery scheduling.
- In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding procedures, shipping regulations, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
