Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle for the delivery and collection of packages across assigned routes in the Aberdeen area.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload packages with care, ensuring accurate tracking and proper handling to prevent damage.
- Utilise handheld devices and software for route optimisation, scanning packages, tracking deliveries, and obtaining proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle logs.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing Career.zycto positively to the public.
- Handle cash or card payments for deliveries when required, ensuring accuracy and security.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Proven experience in a delivery or driving role.
- Excellent knowledge of Aberdeen and surrounding areas, including optimal routes and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg) and sizes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and handheld scanning devices.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organised with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Clean driving record.
- Experience with courier-specific delivery software and tracking systems.
