Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Support nurses in monitoring patient vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting any changes in patient condition.
  • Help patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe patient environment, including changing linens and ensuring hygiene.
  • Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients as directed by nursing staff.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a sense of comfort and reassurance.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is clean and ready for use in the care unit.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
  • Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate attitude towards patients.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
