Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Remote Claims Validation Officer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves accurately reviewing, assessing, and validating a wide range of insurance claims, ensuring adherence to policy terms, regulatory guidelines, and internal procedures. As a Remote Claims Validation Officer, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our claims process, preventing fraud, and ensuring fair and timely resolutions for our customers. You will work independently from your home office, utilising advanced digital tools and communication platforms to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders. This position requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to interpret complex information. You will be responsible for identifying discrepancies, gathering additional information when necessary, and making informed decisions on claim validity. While the role is remote, successful candidates must be resident in the Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey area to facilitate occasional team meetings or training sessions, if required. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations and validations of insurance claims across various lines of business.
- Verify policy coverage, claimant information, and supporting documentation against established criteria.
- Identify and flag potential fraudulent claims, escalating suspicious cases to the appropriate departments.
- Liaise effectively with claimants, brokers, adjusters, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claim validations and communications within the claims management system.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and data protection guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on claim findings, making recommendations for approval, denial, or further investigation.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging fraud trends.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in claims handling, validation, or a similar analytical role within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns or discrepancies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with claims management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of insurance principles, policy wordings, and regulatory frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Law, or Criminology.
- ACII or other relevant industry-recognised qualifications.
- Experience with anti-fraud detection tools and methodologies.
- Previous experience working remotely in a professional capacity.
