Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate international shipments (sea, air, road freight) from origin to destination.
- Handle all necessary customs documentation, declarations, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers and agents to secure competitive pricing.
- Optimize routes and logistics solutions to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Communicate proactively with clients, carriers, and overseas partners regarding shipment status and potential issues.
- Resolve operational discrepancies and address customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Process invoices, prepare quotes, and maintain accurate shipment records.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar logistics role.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English and German (both highly advantageous for Düsseldorf location).
