Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various production machinery according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine machine setup, precise adjustments, and accurate calibration to ensure optimal and consistent performance.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks on incoming materials and finished products, meticulously identifying and reporting any defects or discrepancies.
- Load and unload materials from machines efficiently and safely, ensuring a continuous and streamlined workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area at all times, strictly adhering to 5S principles.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Accurately record production data and complete all necessary paperwork and logs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to consistently meet and exceed production targets.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking material usage and reporting any shortages promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a fast-paced factory or production environment.
- Demonstrable ability to operate industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles and practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and accurately follow technical instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.
- Good physical stamina, agility, and manual dexterity for performing repetitive tasks.
