Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitisation of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities in accordance with established standards.
  • Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, mop floors, clean windows, and empty waste bins.
  • Change and make beds, replace soiled linens, and ensure fresh towels are supplied.
  • Replenish room amenities, toiletries, and other supplies as required.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly to supervisors.
  • Handle all cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Organise and restock housekeeping carts at the end of each shift.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and periodic tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning
  • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment use

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning
