Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of credit, operational, market, and compliance risks across various business lines.
- Analyze complex financial data and risk reports to identify trends, potential threats, and control weaknesses.
- Assess the effectiveness of existing risk management controls and recommend enhancements.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with business units and compliance teams.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on risk findings, recommendations, and remediation progress for senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes (e.g., FCA, PRA), and emerging risk landscapes.
- Participate in the development and refinement of risk policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders on risk-related matters.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all risk review activities and outcomes.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, audit, or compliance within the financial services sector.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- In-depth understanding of various risk types (credit, operational, market, regulatory).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of UK financial regulations (e.g., PRA Rulebook, FCA Handbook).
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms and risk management software.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
