Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive event proposals, including detailed timelines, venue suggestions, vendor recommendations, and creative concepts.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, décor, entertainment, transportation, and technical requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.
  • Create and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and providing regular updates to clients.
  • Coordinate on-site event execution, overseeing setup, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing any unforeseen issues promptly.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, providing regular communication and proactive problem-solving.
  • Ensure all events adhere to health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Actively contribute to portfolio development and seek new business opportunities within the event planning sector.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in event planning, specifically with wedding and corporate events.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and vendors.
  • Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Aisle Planner, Monday.com, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Creative flair and a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of local vendor landscape in Trelawny and surrounding parishes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Preferred Qualifications
