Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, meticulously verifying contents against purchase orders and ensuring accuracy and quality of delivered goods.
- Safely and efficiently unload and load trucks using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, as well as manual methods.
- Organize and accurately store inventory in designated warehouse locations, strictly adhering to company layout, rotation policies, and safety standards.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications, preparing them for timely dispatch and delivery to various destinations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation processes to maintain highly accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies.
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and safe working environment, which includes sweeping, clearing aisles, proper waste disposal, and adherence to sanitation guidelines.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, strictly following all operational and safety protocols and guidelines.
- Identify and promptly report any discrepancies, damages, quality issues with products, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required, contributing to overall team efficiency, productivity, and a smooth operational flow.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (CXC/GCE O'Levels)
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory checks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manual labour environment (even if informal)
- Basic computer literacy for data entry or inventory management systems
- Familiarity with inventory procedures
