Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all mechanical, safety, and emergency components are in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring its integrity and safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Assist with route planning and optimization to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times.
- Handle delivery documentation, including signing for deliveries and collecting necessary signatures from recipients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly to management.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's Licence (preferably Class C or above)
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience in logistics or delivery.
