Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests, present menus, and inform them of daily specials.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, offering thoughtful recommendations and answering questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipating and responding to needs throughout their dining experience.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash/credit card transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table setup, bussing, and resetting.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter or in a similar customer service role (at least 6 months).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for order taking and payment processing.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
- Certification in food handling or responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe).
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
