Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality photography for a diverse range of events including corporate functions, product launches, conferences, and social gatherings.
- Produce compelling commercial photography, including product shots, lifestyle imagery, architectural photography, and branding content.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project briefs, objectives, and desired visual styles.
- Manage all aspects of photography projects from pre-production (planning, location scouting, equipment preparation) to post-production (editing, retouching, colour correction).
- Ensure all images align with brand guidelines, artistic direction, and technical specifications provided.
- Deliver final edited images in specified formats and within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain and care for personal photography equipment, ensuring it is always in optimal working condition.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously enhance photographic skills and offerings.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Expertise in studio and on-location lighting techniques (natural, strobe, continuous).
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant editing software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Excellent composition, framing, and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and subjects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with video production and editing is a plus.
- Established network and client base within the Jamaican creative industry.
- Ability to provide own specialized equipment beyond basic camera/lenses (e.g., drones, specific lighting setups, mobile studio).
