Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver – Logistics & Delivery to join our growing team in Cross Roads, Kingston. This is a vital full-time role for an individual who takes pride in safe driving, punctual deliveries, and exceptional customer service. Operating a company-provided vehicle, you will be the face of Career.zycto on the road, ensuring that goods reach their destinations efficiently and securely across various locations within Kingston and surrounding parishes. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, a meticulous approach to vehicle maintenance, and excellent navigational skills.
Your day will involve planning and executing delivery routes, loading and unloading packages with care, accurately completing delivery documentation, and interacting positively with clients. We are looking for someone who can adapt to changing schedules, troubleshoot minor issues independently, and consistently uphold our high standards for safety and service. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle for local and regional deliveries.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, utilizing navigation tools to meet schedule demands.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork, including manifests, invoices, and proof of delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including inventory checks and order preparation, as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (preferably Class C or higher)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Proven experience as a professional driver (delivery or logistics)
- Strong knowledge of Kingston and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle pre-checks
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) or GPS tracking systems
- Familiarity with inventory management procedures
- Customer service experience in a delivery context
