Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, creating a positive first and last impression.
- Accurately process all customer transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and gift cards, using the POS system.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer, accurately accounting for all sales and receipts.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, promotions, and daily specials.
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve minor complaints, and escalate complex issues to management.
- Assist with packaging takeout orders and ensuring order accuracy.
- Keep the cashier station and surrounding front-of-house areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Support other front-of-house duties as needed to ensure optimal guest experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a customer service or cash handling role, preferably in a restaurant or retail setting.
- Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
