Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventory counts of food, beverages, and supplies across various storage areas.
- Accurately record and reconcile inventory data using designated software or manual systems, ensuring precise stock figures.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries, verifying quality, quantity, and expiration dates against purchase orders.
- Organise and maintain storage areas (fridges, freezers, dry stores) to ensure cleanliness, accessibility, and proper stock rotation (FIFO – First-In, First-Out).
- Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or quality issues of goods to management promptly.
- Support the ordering process by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors when reorder points are reached.
- Assist in tracking and actively working to reduce waste and spoilage through careful management and reporting.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards within storage, receiving, and food handling areas.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bar staff, and management to facilitate smooth operations and efficient stock flow.
- Perform general administrative duties related to inventory, such as filing, data entry, and preparing basic reports.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, calculations, and stock reconciliation.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) for clear reporting and teamwork.
