Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive media relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and key industry influencers.
- Draft and distribute compelling press releases, media kits, backgrounders, and other public relations materials.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze trends, and generate reports on PR campaign effectiveness.
- Manage incoming media inquiries, facilitate interviews, and prepare spokespersons for media engagements.
- Coordinate and execute press conferences, media briefings, and other public relations events.
- Assist in crisis communication planning and provide timely and effective responses to mitigate potential negative impacts.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and executive teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications.
- Proactively identify storytelling opportunities and pitch compelling narratives to target media outlets.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and relevant news to inform PR strategies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and German (C1 level or higher).
- Strong understanding of the media landscape, news cycles, and best practices in earned media.
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and leverage robust media relationships.
- Proficiency with media monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Brandwatch).
- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute effective communication plans.
- Experience in crisis communication management and issues resolution.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
