Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Nanny with daily childcare routines, including meals, naps, and hygiene.
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Help with school runs (drop-offs and pick-ups) and accompanying children to extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children, including tidying play areas and children's rooms.
- Prepare healthy snacks and simple meals for the children.
- Support children with homework and school projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Lead Nanny and parents regarding children's progress and daily events.
- Observe and report any concerns or significant developments in the children's behavior or health.
- Perform light household duties related to the children, such as laundry and organizing toys.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in childcare (e.g., nanny, daycare assistant, teaching assistant, babysitter).
- Genuine love for children and understanding of child development stages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within first month).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- High level of patience, energy, and creativity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, CACHE Level 2/3).
- Previous experience working as a Nanny Assistant or in a similar supportive childcare role.
- Knowledge of various child development theories and educational play techniques.
- Non-smoker.
