Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated locations within Cherry Gardens, St. Andrew, and surrounding areas.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload packages carefully, ensuring secure transport and preventing damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including recipient signatures and delivery times.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Handle delivery documentation and payment collection accurately when required.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company safety standards.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and in good working order.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (e.g., delivery, logistics)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Excellent knowledge of St. Andrew and Kingston road networks
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of reliability and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software
- Customer service experience in a delivery or logistics context
