Key Responsibilities
- Perform general kitchen cleaning duties, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the shift.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling simple dishes under supervision.
- Unload and properly store incoming deliveries, ensuring all items are organised and rotated according to food safety guidelines.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels for key ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to the kitchen management.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles.
- Support the kitchen team in any additional tasks required to ensure smooth night operations and readiness for the following day.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night hours (e.g., 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices (training will be provided).
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (even volunteer or home cooking).
