Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV, wind turbines, biomass).
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using specialized testing equipment and system monitoring tools.
  • Execute preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and troubleshoot complex system malfunctions.
  • Document all service activities, fault findings, repairs, and system performance data accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
  • Calibrate and adjust system components for maximum efficiency and energy yield.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other technicians on system upgrades and optimizations.
  • Provide technical support and potentially training to junior technicians or site personnel as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven professional experience as an electrician, industrial technician, or similar role.
  • Strong foundational understanding of electrical circuits, power generation principles, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B or equivalent) for field travel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and German (B2 level minimum).
  • Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions as required by fieldwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational degree or certification (e.g., Meister, Techniker) in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Direct experience with specific renewable energy technologies (e.g., PV inverters, wind turbine components, battery storage systems).
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring platforms for energy assets.
  • Certification in working at heights, electrical safety, or other relevant industry-specific safety training.
  • Knowledge of German energy regulations (e.g., EEG – Renewable Energy Sources Act).
  • Current First Aid certification.
