Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior calibration technicians in performing routine and non-routine calibration services on a variety of measurement and test equipment.
- Execute calibration procedures according to established standards, including ISO/IEC 17025, manufacturer specifications, and internal protocols.
- Accurately record and document all calibration results, observations, and adjustments in calibration certificates and databases.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments to instrumentation as needed to bring them within specified tolerances.
- Maintain and organize calibration equipment, tools, and test standards, ensuring they are in good working order and properly accounted for.
- Prepare equipment for calibration, including cleaning, inspection, and setting up test environments.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory or work area.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance calibration skills and knowledge.
- Provide support for on-site calibration services as required, which may involve travel within the Chokwe region.
Required Skills
- Technical Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 1 year of practical experience in a technical or industrial setting, preferably involving machinery or instrumentation.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and calibration procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication skills in Portuguese (verbal and written) and basic English comprehension.
