Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, order picker) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles, accurately verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests.
- Perform daily pre-operation safety checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting any malfunctions or defects promptly to supervision.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and documenting material movements, ensuring data integrity within the warehouse management system.
- Organize and stack materials in designated warehouse areas according to safety guidelines, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
- Support general warehouse duties, including cleaning, organizing, and ensuring a safe, tidy, and compliant working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, operating procedures, and local occupational health and safety standards (e.g., DGUV regulations).
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
Required Skills
- Valid forklift operating license/certification (e.g., Staplerschein in Germany).
- Proven experience (minimum 1-2 years) as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding and adherence to warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks, lift materials, and stand for extended periods as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic with a commitment to teamwork.
