Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling, securing, and documentation of all items.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, navigating various traffic conditions.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Handle delivery paperwork (invoices, manifests) accurately and obtain necessary signatures.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times when interacting with clients and the public.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, traffic violations, or delivery discrepancies promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
- Clean driving record (no major infractions within the last 5 years)
- Proven experience in logistics, delivery, or professional driving
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques
- Ability to operate a company-provided delivery vehicle proficiently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) safely
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge for routine checks
