Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational strategies to optimize logistics, inventory management, and distribution networks.
- Streamline workflows and processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of operational staff, ensuring high performance, engagement, and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of daily operational tasks, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse operational data, and generate comprehensive reports for senior management.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure optimal service levels and pricing.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback and development opportunities for team members.
- Proactively address operational challenges and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Operations or Logistics Management role.
- Proven track record of optimizing operational processes and achieving efficiency gains.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience motivating and developing staff.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data-driven decision making.
- Proficiency in operational management software (e.g., ERP, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
- In-depth understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, and distribution logistics.
