Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand project requirements, vision, and desired outcomes.
- Plan and execute photoshoots for various events (e.g., corporate, social, community) and commercial projects (e.g., product, branding, lifestyle).
- Utilize professional camera equipment, lenses, lighting, and other accessories to capture high-quality images.
- Perform post-production tasks including culling, colour correction, retouching, and image optimization using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Deliver final edited images in specified formats and within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain open and clear communication with clients and the Career.zycto team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure readiness for all assignments.
- Continuously update and improve photographic skills and knowledge of industry trends.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in event photography (e.g., candid, dynamic, storytelling).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial photography capabilities (e.g., product, lifestyle, corporate headshots).
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and various lens types.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for editing and retouching.
- Excellent understanding of lighting techniques, composition, and colour theory.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
- Access to own professional photography equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with video capture and editing (a plus, but not required).
- Knowledge of local Jamaican culture and ability to capture its essence.
