Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Glass Installer & Frame Fitting Specialist to enhance our growing team in Adams Arcade, Nairobi. This pivotal role involves the precise measurement, cutting, fitting, and installation of various types of glass and associated framing systems for both commercial and residential projects. As a specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring all installations meet our rigorous standards of quality, safety, and aesthetic excellence. From initial site assessment to final walkthrough, your expertise will be crucial in delivering flawless results that exceed client expectations. You will work with a diverse range of materials, including tempered, laminated, insulated, and decorative glass, as well as aluminum, uPVC, and timber framing systems. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of architectural drawings, and a commitment to adhering to all relevant building codes and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, cut, and install various glass types (e.g., tempered, laminated, insulated) according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Fit and install diverse framing systems, including aluminum, uPVC, and timber, for windows, doors, partitions, and custom enclosures.
- Interpret and work from architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and installation diagrams.
- Prepare surfaces for installation, ensuring they are clean, level, and ready for glass and frame placement.
- Seal joints and edges with appropriate sealants to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, including glass cutters, grinders, drills, and levels.
- Conduct quality checks on all installations to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent working condition and ensure a tidy and organized workspace.
- Provide technical advice and solutions for on-site challenges related to glass and frame installation.
