Key Responsibilities
- Perform general farm duties including planting, weeding, thinning, irrigating, and harvesting various crops by hand or with simple tools.
- Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and machinery safely under supervision.
- Sort, wash, pack, and prepare harvested produce for market or storage.
- Participate in field preparation tasks such as tilling, amending soil, and laying irrigation lines.
- Assist with general farm maintenance, including fence repair, building upkeep, and tidying work areas.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Work collaboratively with the farm team, taking direction and contributing positively to team morale.
- Monitor crop health, identifying and reporting any signs of pests, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and work bending or kneeling for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, direct sun).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States, including valid seasonal visa documentation.
