Key Responsibilities
- Perform general garden maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, weeding, watering, and fertilizing.
- Trim hedges, prune shrubs and trees, and maintain flower beds to enhance aesthetic appeal.
- Plant new flowers, shrubs, and trees as required by seasonal plans or client requests.
- Clear leaves, debris, and refuse from garden areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Operate and maintain a variety of gardening tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor plants for signs of pests or disease and report issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with seasonal garden preparations and clearances.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area and storage for tools and equipment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in garden maintenance or a similar outdoor role (minimum 1 year)
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of plant care, gardening techniques, and common garden pests/diseases.
- Familiarity with operating garden machinery and hand tools safely.
