Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular, accurate inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date inventory databases, ensuring all incoming and outgoing stock is correctly recorded and categorized.
- Assist with the efficient receiving, thorough inspection, and proper storage of incoming goods according to established company procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive and insightful inventory reports, identifying trends, potential issues, and areas for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, including warehousing, logistics, and purchasing, to optimize inventory flow and storage solutions.
- Monitor current stock levels diligently to prevent critical shortages or costly overstock situations, initiating reorder requests as needed.
- Organize and meticulously label inventory items for efficient storage, quick retrieval, and easy identification.
- Conduct routine quality checks on inventory to identify and report damaged, expired, or misplaced goods.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies related to inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Actively participate in scheduled year-end inventory audits and special projects as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory-related role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving inventory (up to 15 kg).
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in German and English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with barcode scanning and advanced inventory tracking systems.
