Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for animation software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D) and related plugins.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues affecting animators' workstations and rendering farms.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of animation pipelines and digital asset management (DAM) systems.
- Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, MEL) to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
- Manage and optimize animation project files, ensuring proper version control and data integrity.
- Collaborate with animators and project managers to understand technical requirements and provide solutions.
- Document technical processes, common issues, and solutions for internal knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest animation software, hardware, and industry best practices.
- Conduct basic training sessions for animators on new tools or workflows.
- Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
- Assist in evaluating and recommending new tools or technologies to enhance animation capabilities.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in animation software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
- Strong understanding of 3D animation principles and production workflows.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL Script) for automation.
- Solid knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and networking basics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing assets and projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
