Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist all customers, providing an outstanding level of service and a positive shopping experience.
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and skillfully recommend suitable products, enhancing their purchasing journey.
- Accurately process all sales transactions, including cash, card, and mobile payments, using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards to create an attractive and welcoming shopping environment.
- Monitor stock levels on shelves and displays, diligently replenishing merchandise as needed to ensure product availability.
- Assist with comprehensive inventory management tasks, including receiving new stock, verifying shipments, and organizing storage areas efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and minor complaints professionally and efficiently, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Effectively promote current special offers, promotions, and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities and enhance customer loyalty.
- Collaborate closely with team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and ensure smooth, efficient store operations.
- Uphold all company policies and procedures related to sales, customer service, store security, and health & safety standards.
- Stay informed about product knowledge, new arrivals, and industry trends to better serve customers and provide expert advice.

- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic demeanor.

- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights (up to 15 kg), and move merchandise as required.
- High level of punctuality, reliability, and a strong, proactive work ethic.
- Fluency in English and Mauritian Creole is essential; proficiency in French is a distinct advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 6-12 months of previous experience in retail sales or a customer service-oriented role.
- Prior experience operating Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and handling cash registers.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell and cross-sell products, enhancing the customer's purchase and satisfaction.
- Knowledge of local consumer preferences and retail market trends in Souillac and surrounding areas.
