Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory experiments and tests accurately and efficiently following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare reagents, media, and samples for various experimental procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting, under supervision.
- Record experimental data meticulously in lab notebooks and electronic systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist senior researchers in conducting more complex experiments and data collection.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, strictly adhering to safety guidelines and waste disposal protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and reagents, and assist with ordering and receiving as needed.
- Contribute to the upkeep of laboratory instruments and facilities, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding experimental results and future research directions.
- Learn and adapt to new laboratory techniques and technologies as required by ongoing projects.
Required Skills
- Basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, solution preparation, sterile technique)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
