Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver – Logistics & Delivery professional to join our thriving team in Reading, Montego Bay. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations within Montego Bay and surrounding areas, utilizing a company-provided vehicle. As a key member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate delivery records, and upholding the highest standards of customer service and road safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to schedules.
- Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, vehicle mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all local and national traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Career.zycto positively.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and organizing goods, as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and general maintenance of the company vehicle.
- Handle delivery documentation, including signing off on receipts and obtaining customer signatures.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 5 years
- Proven ability to navigate Montego Bay and surrounding areas efficiently
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and practices
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift and move packages, sometimes heavy, as required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in logistics or delivery
- Experience operating various types of delivery vehicles (vans, small trucks)
- Defensive driving certification
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks
