We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our operations in Norwood, Montego Bay. This professional role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers, both locally and internationally. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be the linchpin connecting warehouse operations with delivery logistics, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness at every stage. You will oversee inventory management, coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, optimize delivery routes, and manage relationships with carriers and vendors. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of supply chain principles, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed records, analyzing operational data, and implementing improvements to enhance our logistical processes. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the movement of goods through the supply chain, from warehouse receipt to final customer delivery.
- Manage warehouse inventory, ensuring accuracy through regular stock counts and reconciliation.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes, considering factors such as cost, efficiency, and customer requirements.
- Liaise with internal teams (sales, customer service) and external partners (carriers, suppliers) to ensure timely and effective logistics operations.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates on delivery status to stakeholders.
- Resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly and effectively, minimizing disruption.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
- Utilize logistics software and tools to enhance tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction within the logistics framework.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
